Description
Draft Drawing Draft Statement of Work Sources Sought Description of Repair/Regroove Runway 06/24: The work items include, but are not limited to: grind concrete on west end of the runway, mill asphalt, remove concrete on east end of the runway, rebuild east end of runway, pave runway and saw cut grooves the entire length of runway. The runway was constructed with approximately 1,000 feet by 200 feet approach zone of approximately 14 inches thick of reinforced concrete, approximately 7,800 feet by 200 feet asphalt pavement approximately 6 inches thick, approximately 1,200 feet by 200 feet (the area is wider at the intersection of runway 16/34) departure zone of approximately 14 inches thick of reinforced concrete. The runway was grooved perpendicular to the center line during construction and is adjacent to asphalt shoulder. The project area is the runway 200 feet by 10,000 feet and identified in detail in the plans. Description of New Storm Water System: The work items include, but are not limited to: install new manholes and storm water line and connect to existing manholes and storm water system. New Storm water system will consist of 2150 feet of new 36 inch pipe to connect existing system to manhole near Taxiway D, place 5 new manholes evenly spaced between the two existing manholes. Remove 275 feet from taxiway center line of asphalt of Taxiway F from edge of runway to include Taxiway D, full width of Taxiways to include shoulders of the same distance of edge of runway. Taxiway thickness approximately 5 inches, shoulder thickness approximately 3 inches thick. Place Airfield rated manholes. Connect new manholes to existing manhole, near the intersection of Taxiway M and Runway 16/34, 280 feet of 36 inch pipe. Excavation should be 11 feet for storm water pipe. Pave shoulders with 2 inches of asphalt.
