- Identification of Requirements This agency proposes to issue an unrestricted solicitation for a long-term strategic contract which will include multiple NSNs to support various weapon systems / operational platforms used heavily by all of the Military Services. All of the items identified for this initiative have a FSC of 3110 (Bearings, Anti-friction, Unmounted). A total of 404 NSNs are targeted for this contract effort on a DLA direct (DD) basis for worldwide support, to include foreign military sales (FMS), with alternate customer direct (CD) offers acceptable. All items will be solicited on a free on board (FOB) origin basis with inspection and acceptance (I&A) at origin. Offerors will be required to propose a minimum of 50% of the items. It is anticipated that all items will be priced for the initial contract award. The proposed action is intended to be awarded competitively. The proposed contract(s) will be for a total five-year period of performance. No option periods will be included. This is proposed to be a Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 effort. The proposed contract(s) will be fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The attached list of NSNs are the items that have been identified for this current action. No add-on populations are anticipated. However, i f other NSNs are subsequently added, as defined by the terms of the contract, they will be synopsized separately. This will be a competitively awarded contract and best value selection methods will be used. The Government may award multiple contracts for this action however, only a single award will be issued for each NSN. The solicitation will be posted on FBO on or around November 16, 2015. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP on the same issue date cited in the solicitation. Choose the Request for proposal (RFP) you wish to download. Solicitations are in portable document format (PDF).
