Description
This is a notice of intent from the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to issue a modification on an other than full and open competition basis under the new follow-on production contract, which is still awaiting award (Solicitation N00019-14-R-1012), with BAE Systems Information and Electronics Systems, 150 Parish Drive, Wayne, New Jersey 07470 to modify the LPIA RF Module to improve producibility, reliability, reparability, performance, and to reduce production and repair costs for platforms C-2A, E-2D, CH-53K, CV-22, FMS, and AvCIP. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements." BAE Systems is the only known source with the necessary technical data, knowledge, experience and expertise required to perform this effort. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. No phone inquiries will be entertained.
