Description

Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition, modification and removal of existing items, installation of finishes, plumbing fixtures, piping and accessories. Contractor will furnish labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform work for project 539-16-204, entitled Improve Water Efficiency and Legionella Mitigation at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, as required by drawings and specifications. This work will be to complete all new construction, including but not limited to architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for the renovation of all areas. The work will remove all laminar flow devices and provide new mixing valves on all existing fixtures. Work to be completed within 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Plans, specifications and drawings will be available on line on or about November 11, 2015. All specifications and drawings will be available on line through this website and no hard copies will be issued. Estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A pre-bid conference will be held, Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. (local time) in Building 3, Engineering Conference Room, at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio; all prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers are urged to attend. This will be the only site visit scheduled for this project. Bid Opening is scheduled for December 15, 2015 at 11 A.M. (local time) in Bid opening room located at 260 E. University Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219. The project is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Contractors bidding this project should ensure they are registered in VetBiz Registry at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, under the appropriate NAICS code for this procurement.
