Description

Justification and Approval for: Other than Full and Open Competition The VA West Haven CT Healthcare System (VACT) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Focus Diagnostics for the purchase of Focus Diagnostics Reagents and Consumable for Herpes and Cytomegalovirus PCR Testing. The intent is to contract for Base year of February 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017 with four option years. Product Description It is the intent of the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Connecticut Healthcare System, (herein afterwards referred to as VA Connecticut), to establish a Firm fixed Pricing Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for kits, controls and other ancillaries required for qualitative and quantitative PCR testing for Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), Varicella Zoster (VZV), Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and Flu A/B & RSV in the Virology Department. It is the intent of the Government to award this BPA to a single contractor (Focus Diagnostics).
