Description

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions. Sources sought for: An Optical Parametric Amplifier (OPA) that can convert 20-60 fs pulses of 800nm pump to 1140-2600nm pulses. The OPA needs to be able to accept pump pulse energies as high as 20mJ @ 20-30 fs and produce tunable IR pulses of up to several millijoule of energy. For 10mJ, 800nm Gaussian beam pump at 1 KHz, the energy of hte converted light (Signal + Idler) should be at least 2.5 mJ. The output pulse duration should be 1.2 to 1.5 times the pump pulse width. The time-bandwidth product shoudl be <1. Source selection is lowest price technically acceptable method.
