- F-150 Truck F-150 Truck This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes only. The Government is seeking responses from small businesses capable of providing and installing the required audio/visual equipment in leased Government Services Administration (GSA) vehicles. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Responses to this announcement are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant contract for this requirement. The Government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. The Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) has recently acquired 55 Ford F-150XL Crew Cab pick-up trucks from GSA for use as marketing and advertising vehicles. MCRC has a requirement to install after-market upgrades in all 55 vehicles that include an amplified stereo system and a TV/DVD package. MCRC seeks recommended ideas from industry on the type of audio/visual equipment that will "look good" and "make noise" to draw visual/auditory interest prior to arrival at an engagement area at various events held at places such as high schools and colleges. The equipment should appeal to prospects ages 18-24, ultimately leading the prospects to speak to a Marine Recruiter. MCRC intends on awarding a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the following items, at a minimum: •· - Black over-edge hard cover for the bed of the truck to provide protection of the audio/visual system from weather and for general security of the system •· - 46" 4K LED Monitor to include (3) HDMI/(3) USB ports, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth capability; The monitor must be horizontally mounted to bed and stored on pivot bracket allowing for manual rotation to allow for vertical position for use •· - Multi-way splitter •· - Insulation/cooling system (ex: fans/enclosed radiator) •· - In-dash multi-format head unit player to include DVD/CD/Bluetooth/USB/HDMI with multi-channel capabilities allowing the Recruiters to play two inputs simultaneously for audio/video •· - Higher capacity interior speakers to replace the original manufacturer's speakers (ex: 1000w) •· - Exterior bed speakers with custom enclosure; speaker sound must reach at least a 300 ft. range and be of good quality sound; The speakers should be directionally mounted with corresponding high-capacity amplifier/capacitors. (ex: (4) 12-inch L5 subwoofers/(6) 6.5 3-way speakers) •· - Power support such as deep-cycle batteries/large capacity inverter greater than 120v house power/trickle charger; there should also be a "Demo" switch/dead-man switch/200ft reeled power cable The above items are only ideas that could potentially support our requirement, but MCRC seeks industry expertise to develop the right solution. As the vehicles are leased through GSA, whatever equipment is installed in the vehicles should be easily removable without damaging the vehicles upon return to GSA. MCRC desires to award a contract with one small business that is capable of providing nation-wide support, however, it is unknown if small business vendors could provide installation services throughout the United States. The 55 trucks are located in the cities listed below. However, the trucks located in these cities will be made available for installation at consolidated locations no more than three hours from the original location. Seattle, WA Portland, OR Salt Lake city, UT Sacrament, CA San Francisco, CA Los Angeles, CA Orange, CA San Diego, CA Phoenix, AZ Denver, CO Albuquerque, NM Oklahoma City, OK Dallas/Ft Worth, TX San Antonio, TX Houston, TX Baton Rouge, LA Nashville, TN Montgomery, AL Ft Lauderdale, FL Orlando, FL Jacksonville, FL Parris Island, SC Atlanta, GA Columbia, SC Raleigh, NC Louisville, KY Charleston, WV Richmond, VA Quantico, VA Baltimore, MD Frederick, MD Harrisburg, PA Colts Neck, NJ Garden City, NY Springfield, MA Portsmouth, NH Albany, NY Pittsburg, PA Buffalo, NY Cleveland, OH Detroit, MI Indianapolis, IN Chicago, IL Milwaukee, WI St Louis, MO Twin Cities, MN Des Moines, IA Kansas City, MO The anticipated NAICS is 334310 for Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 700 employees. The results of the Sources Sought will be utilized to determine the interest of the small business community in supporting this requirement. MCRC is interested in gaining further information from small businesses on whether or not they will be capable of supporting this requirement nation-wide. Interested respondents should submit a capabilities statement package clearly demonstrating the firm's ability to provide the above items. A generic capability statement is not acceptable. Included in the capabilities statement package, respondents shall address the questions listed below in order for MCRC to gain further information on how to proceed with this requirement. Please review the requirements listed below. At a minimum, the package shall address the following: 1. Title of the requirement, Company Name, Physical Address, Website Address, and POC (to include phone number and email address). 2. Company profile to include office location(s), DUNS number/CAGE Code, statement regarding current small business status, and verification of System for Award Management (SAM) registration. 3. Prior/current corporate experience (private and/or government) performing efforts of similar size and scope within the last three (3) years. Statements should describe the dollar value, indicate whether your firm acted as the prime or subcontractor, list of customer Point(s) of Contact with phone number(s), and provide description of the experience and how the referenced experience relates to the requirements as described in the draft document attached. 4. Drawing or picture of suggested audio/visual equipment that could be installed in the vehicles, to include a description of the salient characteristics of the suggested equipment. 5. Responses to the following questions: a. What is a realistic timeframe to accomplish each project by location? Does your company have the capability of completing this effort within three months? b. What types of system does your company recommend to be installed in the trucks? c. MCRC desires to install a system that will leave storage space in the bed of the truck to store Recruiter items such as portable pull-up bars, boxes that consist of promotional items like water bottles, t-shirt, lanyards, etc. Is it possible to install a system that will allow such space, and if so, is there a way to allow for storage of example items without damaging the system? d. Has your company installed custom-made audio/visual systems in trucks similar to the Ford F-150 XL Crew Cab pick-up trucks? If so, please provide pictures of the work your company has completed. e. Approximately how much would the entire project cost? Please provide estimated costs that may be associated with this requirement with as many details as possible with the information provided (i.e. price per item, installation charges, travel cost, etc.). f. What types of coverage will be provided with the warranty of the equipment and what is the timeframe of warranty coverage?
