- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government is seeking vendors that may be able to perform this requirement in order to support a competitive procurement. Accordingly, the U.S. Government highly encourages all interested businesses (large and small) to respond to this sources sought synopsis. In addition, small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), must describe their identifying capabilities in meeting the requirements at a fair market price, i.e., information which may help support a set-aside. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Army is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice; all costs associated with responding to this notice will be solely at the interested party's expense. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, if a competitive solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Governmentwide Point of Entry. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Governmentwide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The NAICS code is: 531120 (Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings Except Mini-warehouses, $27.5 Million) DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: The contract shall provide the terms necessary for a Facility Rental space in Columbia South Carolina, time, and technical personnel assets required for the 282nd Army Band to execute a holiday concert performance on the 7th of December 2015. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS. The venue shall: a. Provide access to the lobby and stage for setup from 1000-2200 (10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). b. Provide technicians to set the stage risers, acoustical shell, monitors, requisite microphones, podium, flags, and music stands prior to sound check at 1500 (3 p.m.). c. Provide a sound engineer to execute the sound check from 1500-1630 (3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and run sound during the show 1845-2100 (6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.). d. Provide a lighting engineer to execute simple lighting adjustments. No hanging of lights or adjusting of lights will be necessary over the stage. e. Make available three dressing rooms that can accommodate two persons each. f. Make available a minimum of two rooms for guest musicians (minimum capacity10 each) or more rooms for a total of 10 guests of both sexes. g. Make available one large dressing room that can accommodate 30 persons. h. Provide four wireless microphones for vocals/narrators. i. Provide three stage monitors. j. Emplace the acoustical shell on the stage. k. Provide one podium mounted microphone, one podium, one American flag, and one South Carolina state flag. l. Provide 60 music stands with lights. m. Provide and setup eleven 4-ft. x 8-ft., 8-inch riser platforms. n. Provide and setup three 4-ft. x 8-ft., 16-inch riser platforms. o. Print and distribute tickets for the event. p. Ensure the cleanliness of the venue lobby, seating, and stage areas no later than 1730 (5:30 p.m.), 07 December 2015. HOURS OF WORK: The venue lobby shall be made available for personnel to setup equipment and arrange displays in the lobby between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The stage shall be ready for sound check by 3:00 p.m. The venue will be prepared to receive an audience by 6:00 p.m. and prepared to support the concert from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. VEHICLES. The venue must be able to provide parking for two bus-sized vehicles. One space must be located in close proximity to a door leading to the stage for load-in of equipment. Respondents must include the following information: 1. Name of firm with address, phone, email, cage code, and point of contact 2. Brief description of your company and its capability to fulfill this requirement and any relevant contracts within the past 36 months (commercial or government), contract numbers, contract dollar values, dates of performance, number and type of personnel involved, and the name of the government program manager. 3. Responses must be received not later than 9 November 2015. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
