Description
Award W9128F-15-M-K010 Supply and Install New Windows and Entrance Doors at Oahe Visitor Center Contractor is to remove existing windows and doors and furnish and install new windows and doors at the Oahe Visitor Center located approximately 7 miles North of Pierre, SD. All work shall conform to the specifications of this document. 1. General: There are two existing doors; one is a single door 39.5"X85.5" and the other is a double 75.5"X85.5" and are installed in wood framed walls. The existing windows are 47.5" X 47.5" and also installed in wood framed walls. There are a total of 8 windows to be replaced, four will have closures and the remaining four shall be fixed. All measurements are to be field verified by the contractor prior to ordering any materials. All materials shall be approved by the Government. 2. Demolition: Contractor shall remove old windows, doors, frames and hardware and dispose of properly. Only one entrance will be worked on at a time and door and windows must be secured by the end of business hours. 3. Installation: Contractor shall install newly furnished doors and windows according to manufacturer's recommendations and instructions. Care shall be taken to not damage interior or exterior walls of the visitor center. 4. Materials: Doors shall be of a heavy duty metal frame similar or equal to the CMI Architectural Products Series 8000 FRP Flush Doors. Provide and install new hinges, closers and thresholds that will withstand high winds such as the door closure Sargent 351 Series Aluminum closer or equivalent with appropriate metal screws. Doors shall have a Dark Bronze anodized aluminum finish. The locks and latches will match the existing Best lock system to allow use of current Government supplied Best lock system cores. Windows shall be similar or equal to the Desco 3250 series windows with built in blinds. The four windows with openers shall have screens.
