Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland in support of the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM), is issuing this notice of intent to procure products via Sole Source through the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract to Quidel Corporation. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501) with Quidel Corporation, 12544 High Bluff Drive, Suite 200 San Diego, CA 92130. Under the contemplated award, Quidel Corporation will provide fifty (50) McVu BAP kits (Catalog No. 8012) and fifty (50) McVu TRAP5b kits (Catalog No. 8033). Request for Information (RFI) W81XWH-15-T-0437 was posted on https://www.fbo.gov/ from 22 September 2015 to 25 September 2015 with no responses received. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 325413 with a size standard of 500 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible, interested parties may identify their interest by submitting capability information by Saturday, 14 Nov 2015 at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time in order to establish the ability of the responder to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for the sole purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing responses to this notification. All inquiries must be submitted via email to hugo.m.robinson.civ@mail.mil.
