Description
DRAFT Performance Work Statement for Leadership and Authority in Groups Request for Information (RFI) Instructions for Leadership and Authority in Groups Group Dynamics training allows participants to study the ways in which authority is vested in leaders by others, to study the factors involved as they happen, to study the covert processes that operate in and among groups, and to study the problems encountered in the exercise of authority. Participants are provided with experience-based group opportunities to study their own behavior as it happens, and course events allow consultation with contract employees ('Consultants') to facilitate that task. The hallmark of this type of methodology is the attempt to more fully see things as they are in organizational life. The course is designed to help participants explore and identify the causes of organizational distress so that upon returning to their workplaces, they can recognize them more clearly. Participants in this type of training can increase their understanding about the nature and exercise of their own authority as well as that of others, and can therefore be equipped to deal more effectively with the challenges of working in a range of organizations. In particular, participants can be more prepared to make decisions about how to take on the responsibilities of leadership and/or followership.
