- This Requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The Pittsburgh VA Medical Center is soliciting quotes under Solicitation No. VA244-16-Q-0117 for the following: To provide services to inspect, calibrate, and tune boilers at two (2) VA Pittsburgh Health System (VAPHS) facilities: "UD - University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240, 3 Tampella Water-Tube Boilers with Faber burners, 2 boilers rated for 25,00lbs/hr and 1 rated for 15,000lbs/hr. Primary fuel is Natural Gas with #2 Fuel Oil as the secondary source. One (1) Deaerator Tank "Heinz - 1010 Delafield Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15238, Heinz - 1010 Delafield Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15238.Four Johnston Boilers Fire Tube PTFA400-4LG150S each rated at 12,000lbs/hr. Primary fuel is Natural Gas with #2 Fuel Oil as the secondary source. The boilers Fireye Nexus PPC6000 parallel position Combustion Control with Oxygen Trim and VFD control of combustion air blower. Each burner is set up with four fuel profiles; Gas with VFD, Gas with VFD by-pass, Oil with VFD and Oil with VFD by-pass. One DA Tank, Eight Steam Flow Meters, and Four Chart Recorders. The Government intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to the responsible offeror whose proposal constitutes the lowest price technically acceptable to the Government using procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 15.101-2. This acquisition will be 100% set-aside for Small Businesses only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 238220 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. All interested and responsible parties may submit a quote following solicitation release. The solicitation number is VA244-16-Q-0117. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about November 2, 2015. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (http://www.sam.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://www.sam.gov). See FAR Clause 52.204-7.
