- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. The General Services Administration (GSA) seeks one contractor for the repair and maintenance of the AV-8B squadrons within Marine Air Group (MAG) 14 and Marine Air Group (MAG) 13 aircraft's located at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ. NAICS Code: 488190 - Other Support Activities for Air Transportation SIC (Code): 4581 - Airports, Flying Fields, and Airport Terminal Services PSC (Code): J015 - Maintenance-Repair of Aircraft Size Standard: $32.5M Description of services: The government intends to issue a solicitation for aircraft maintenance functions of the Phase, Corrosion Control, Logs and Records Clerks, Maintenance Control, Supply and Aircraft organizational level (O-Level) and intermediate level (I-Level) maintenance support. The most important Contractor objective is to provide safe flyable aircraft to execute the unit's daily flight schedule. The daily flight schedule could change due to aircraft availability, weather and other factors. The authorized individual for the Government will provide as much notice as possible regarding schedule changes. The increased volume of work is due to the present and forecasted increase aircraft assigned above standard primary assigned aircraft (PAA). The most important objectives is to provide safe flyable aircraft to complete the squadron's daily flight schedule, reduce Time to Reliably Replenish Aircraft (TRR(A)) and achieve Type/Model/Series (T/M/S) readiness goals as required by Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) and defined by the AV-8B Mission-Essential Subsystems Matrix (MESM).
