Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b-16 Bronx NY 10468 This is a Pre-solicitation Notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA243-16-Q-0087 and is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-61. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238210 with a small business size standard of $15 Million. This requirement is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FBO.gov will start on the date this solicitation is posted. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office is seeking to procure the following service: Title of Project: Supply and Install a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and Bypass 1.General Information: The current VFD Drive for our Chilled Water Pump in the Research Building is not working properly and is giving erratic codes. This VFD drive must be replaced. 2.Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. Vendor is responsible for: a.Remove old VFD Drive b.Supply and Install new VFD drive and Bypass brand name or equal to ABB Model ACH550-VCR-059A-4+F267 (VFD and Bypass). It must fit in the existing space. c.Immediately after installation the vendor will provide a factory start up and programming of the drive. d.Drive software must be compatible with our Energy Management System 3.Performance Period: The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW in 30 calendar days or less from date of award. All work is to be done during normal business hours. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday from 08:00 am to 04:30 pm E.T. 4.Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) 5.Site Visit: Vendors are highly encouraged to attend a site visit to verify existing conditions and to get full understanding of the work to be performed. a.Date and time: Tuesday November 10, 2015 at 10:00 am. Peter VA Medical Center Research Building 130 W Kingsbridge Rd Bronx, NY. 10468 7.General requirements: a.Vendor personnel must complete VA "Privacy and Information Security Awareness training". This is a mandatory training for all VA and Non-VA employees working at this facility. This training must be completed annually. Completion certification must be provided for each employee that will be onsite. b.Vendor is required to coordinate all work with POC/COR assigned. c.Smoking is prohibited inside/outside any building other than the designated smoking areas. d.The contractor shall comply with safety standards, furnished by the VA Safety Office and for instructing employees in safety measures weekly as specified in Occupational and Environmental Safety, Fire Protection and Health Standards.
