Description
Under the authority of FAR 10, the Department of the Treasury's Office of Financial Innovation and Transformation (FIT) is conducting market research as part of on the Government's intent to establish Government-wide contractual agreements for financial systems. Information being sought under this endeavor is solely for market research and acquisition planning purposes. In conjunction with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), FIT has been developing a government-wide strategy for strategically sourcing financial systems software licenses and maintenance. The primary objectives of this initiative are to: (1) Reduce software acquisition and maintenance costs; (2) Increase value to Government customers and end-users; (3) Shorten acquisition and administration times; and (4) Decrease duplicative contracts. Market research is currently being conducted to identify best practices, lessons learned, and potential approaches to achieving the desired objectives of the initiative. FIT will be hosting an industry informational session on November 16, 2015. The general session will be held at the General Services Administration (GSA) facility located at 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006 and will run from 10:00 AM ET to Noon. The general session will be an open forum where industry can provide comments, questions, or suggestions related to the initiative. Interested vendors will be restricted to one participant per company. Please send your participant's contact information along with the financial software you are associated with or represent to Tammie Johnson at fit@fiscal.treasury.gov no later than 5:00PM ET on November 10, 2015. "Financial Systems Software Industry Session" shall be referenced in the subject line of the email. Should additional space be available, participants will be allowed one additional representative on a first-come-first-serve basis. All representatives must bring a current government-issued photo ID to the session. Participants may submit questions they would prefer that FIT specifically address during the session to Tammie Johnson at fit@fiscal.treasury.gov no later than 5:00PM ET on November 11, 2015 for consideration. "Financial Systems Software Industry Session Questions" shall be referenced in the subject line of the email. A tentative list of discussion topics will be provided to participants that have RSVP'd in advance of the session. On November 17, 2015, the Government intends to hold additional ninety (90) minute sessions to discuss specific topics related to particular financial software products. Participants will be assigned a group related to their association to a particular financial system software product. These sessions will also be held at the GSA building located at 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 2006. Additional information will be provided with the registration confirmation. These activities do not imply an obligation on the part of the Government to purchase products and/or services, nor to proceed to any request for proposal/quote (solicitation) for such products and/or services. Further, the activities do not obligate the Government to ultimately employ any particular acquisition strategy. The Government shall not be liable for any costs incurred by participants in submitting information and/or attending the informational sessions. Submission of information and/or participation in the sessions confer no rights upon vendors/participants.
