- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virginia is conducting market research to determine small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone's interest in a service contract to perform renal biopsy diagnostic services for urgent and critical renal diseases and/or impairment for the Salem Veteran Affairs Medical Center located at 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153. The contractor must have a laboratory that is licensed, accredited, and inspected by the Laboratory Accreditation Program (LAP) of an accrediting agency (i.e. COLA LC, CAP) with deemed status from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Center for Disease Control, Medicare and/or other state regulatory agencies as mandated by federal and state statutes. In addition, the Laboratory must be certified as meeting the requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 and comply with the National Standards to Protect the Privacy of Personal Health Information (HIPPA). The contractor must be able to provide emergency services to include night, weekends, and holidays with a 24 -hour turnaround time once specimen is received for Light Microscopy (LM), Immunofluorescence (IF), and Electron Microscopy (EM). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 621511 Size Standard: $32.5 million, and the Classification code is Q301. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government will not pay for any information solicited.
