N62306-16-Q-7002_WM01 _ SPECIFICATION & REQUIRMENTS_REV1 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (Q&A) Please see the the attached revised specification document and the answer to the questions below. The deadline for proposal submission is extended to 4:00 P.M. Central Time on 10 November 2015. Q1. The LM-2A Deck Launcher can be provided to the Government with 25 feet of Low Smoke, Halogen-Free Cable P/N LS2SWU-3, rather than the Cable P/N LS2SWU-7 called out in the specification. The cable will be provided unterminated. LMS requests the Government to confirm this proposed LM-2A Deck Launcher is acceptable. Answer: Not acceptable due to errors in original Specifications and requirements. Reference the attached revised specifications and requirements Rev WJM 11-04-2015. This revision replaces everywhere LS1MU-5 and LS2SWU-7 Cable types were used with LS1SMU-5 Cable Type. Q2. LMS has no information on the "Navy termination boxes" called out under Section 1.0 of the technical specifications. LMS requests the Government to confirm the proposed The LM-2A Deck Launcher, with 25 feet of unterminated Low Smoke, Halogen-Free Cable P/N LS2SWU-3, is compatible with these Navy termination boxes. Answer: Wrong Cable P/N, should be LS1SMU-5 Cable and it is compatible with the Navy termination boxes. Reference attached revised specifications and requirements Rev WJM 11-04-2015. Q3. Section 1.0 of the technical specifications indicated the launchers must be compatible with the existing LS1SMU-5 Ship Cables. LMS requests the Government explain how the existing LS1SMU-5 Ship Cables will interface to the proposed LM-2A Deck Launcher, with 25 feet of unterminated Low Smoke, Halogen-Free Cable P/N LS2SWU-3. Answer: The LS1SMU-5 Launcher Cable will be hardwired into the Navy Metal Terminal Boxes (J-Box #1) is mounted beneath the AFT Ship Deck, and the LS1SMU Ship Cables from the Sippican MK21-Ehternet DAQ J-Box #2 in the ships Main Laboratory.
