- Description
- The US Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) has a requirement for the refurbishment of 16 DESMA Injection Mold Presses at Red River Army Depot (RRAD) under solicitation W56HZV-15-R-0256 that will be released on or about 23 November 2016. This requirement will be solicited on a sole source basis to DESMA USA, Inc. under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This will be a Firm-Fixed-Price contract with a performance period of approximately 36 months. The injection mold presses will be provided to DESMA as Government Furnished Material (GFM) for refurbishment. See below for Estimated Quantities: Item Qty 400 ton 968 Single Station Injection Molding Presses 4 400 ton 968 Double Station Injection Molding Presses 2 250 ton 968 Double Station Injection Molding Presses 10 Total 16 Contractors should not contact the Buyer seeking the solicitation, as it will not be available until approximately 15 days after issuance of this notice. Disclaimer: This is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis and is NOT a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the information contained in this posting or information received as a result of this posting. The contents of any future formal Request for Proposal (RFP) takes precedence over anything contained herein. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Again, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Caution: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the website in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in rejection of same.
