- The scope of this effort is to provide acquisition, business, life-cycle management, and logistics support for the Program Manager, Infantry Weapons Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command. The Product Manager, Infantry Weapons designs, develops, procures, integrates, fields, and sustains small arm systems; including all pistols, rifles, machine guns, and company and battalion mortar systems (60mm and 81mm) in the Marine Corps. This effort will also provide acquisition, financial, and life cycle sustainment support documentation; new equipment training support; functional logistics support; and requirements traceability and verification to programs within the PdM IW portfolio of products. The Marine Corps Systems Command is performing market research for functional and analytical logistics support, financial and program management, and technical writing support services in support of the Product Manager Infantry Weapons Systems (PdM IWS) program office. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to this Request for Information (RFI) notice for review, comment, and questions. The Government anticipates that this requirement will be awarded for a three (3) month base period and three one (1) month option periods. Firms interested in this requirement are invited to submit the following: 1) Brief statement of capabilities and introduction to your organization; 2) Synopsis of organizational support approach; 3) Rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) price for this effort; and 4) Summary of your transition plan, including an estimated timeframe required for transition. Your response to the above should not exceed five (5) pages. Responses should be submitted on standard 8.5"x11" pages, using size 12 Times New Roman or Courier New fonts. This notice is a Request for Information, issued solely for planning purposes, and is not to be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government for any follow-on acquisition. No entitlement for payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government shall arise as a result of submitted responses to this RFI and the Government's subsequent use of that information. The Government recognizes that proprietary information and data may be part of this effort and, if so included, such data should be clearly marked and included as a proprietary addendum to the non-restricted/nonproprietary information.
