- Description
- The following quesitons are being answered to further clairfy this RFQ. <blockquote style="WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; COLOR: #222222; FONT: 12.8px arial, sans-serif; PADDING-LEFT: 1ex; MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 0.8ex; BORDER-LEFT: #cccccc 1px solid; WIDOWS: 1; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff; TEXT-INDENT: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px"> 1. Am I correct to interpret that all of the walls, doors etc need restored? It's difficult to tell from the pics the full extent of the UV damage. It also appears on some of the non-damaged walls that the finish had greatly dulled and lost it's luster. It will be very helpful to know the full extent of the area that needs refinished. Correct, all wood paneling and doors in the room will be restored - in a future contract. This procurement is for product recommendations and mock-ups only. A site visit would be very helpful in understanding the condition of the existing finishes and we encourage bidders to arrange one with the property manager, Jim Morrison. <blockquote style="WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; COLOR: #222222; FONT: 12.8px arial, sans-serif; PADDING-LEFT: 1ex; MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 0.8ex; BORDER-LEFT: #cccccc 1px solid; WIDOWS: 1; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff; TEXT-INDENT: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px"> 2. Is the courtroom currently in use? Can the work be performed during normal working hours or are after hours required? Courtroom is currently in use. Work on mock-ups is to be coordinated with the Courts' schedule for use of the Courtroom - work may be allowed during working hours if fumes are not a problem. <blockquote style="WHITE-SPACE: normal; WORD-SPACING: 0px; TEXT-TRANSFORM: none; COLOR: #222222; FONT: 12.8px arial, sans-serif; PADDING-LEFT: 1ex; MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 0.8ex; BORDER-LEFT: #cccccc 1px solid; WIDOWS: 1; LETTER-SPACING: normal; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff; TEXT-INDENT: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px"> 3. I'm wondering about ventilation? Do any of the windows open to allow for natural ventilation of dust/ odors, fumes? I assume the restoration fumes can't go through the courthouse hvac system and flow into the other rooms. Courtroom windows are not operable. For the mock-ups we don't plan on any special ventilation. For the Courtroom restoration, we are requiring a negative air enclosure and exhausted ventilation to the exterior.
