- Description
- The Western Regional Contracting Office is issuing a sources sought announcement to determine capabilities within the small business community in regards to developing, implementing, and training a Room Service program for the Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. This is not a request for quotations/proposals and any quotations or proposals received in response to this announcement will not be considered by the Government. Submissions from other than small businesses will not be considered. Small businesses are requested to submit a capabilities statement (limited to three pages) indicating their experience and ability to develop a Room Service program to support the Nutrition Care Division's goal of improving patient care and satisfaction. MAMC consists of 240 inpatient beds, expandable to 300 beds during contingency situations. Company experience shall be similar to the size and complexity of developing, implementing, and training a Room Service program similar to MAMC in order to be considered. The goal of the Room Service program is to implement a traditional hotel room service model in the medical center, where patients order what they want, when they want it, within dietary restrictions, from a fixed restaurant-style menu between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. The anticipated resultant contract will consist of implementing a room service infrastructure and provide standing operating procedures, training plan and training manual, culinary training, customer service training, room service menus, recipes, and recipe development. Interested vendors are requested to submit their capability statements to kevin.c.newton.civ@mail.mil no later than 10:00 am on 17 Nov 15. In order to assist in any determination to set-aside the requirement under any of the socio-economic programs of FAR Part 19, vendors must indicate that they are a small business and also include whether they are economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSB), service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSD), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small businesses, and/or 8(a) certified small businesses.
