Description

This is a presolicitation notice synopsizing the upcoming release of a solicitation-NO RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS IS REQUIRED. Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4 will be posting a solicitation on this website for the provision of Pathology and Non-GYN Cytology Testing Services for the Lebanon, PA VA Medical Center. This acquisition will be procured using FAR Part 13 procedures via full & open competition. A single-award, 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is the intended contract type. Scope of Work: The current process is that the Lebanon VA Medical Center (LVAMC) transports technical specimens to another VA medical facility for a Histology Technologist to perform technical processing. However, in the event that the current process would be interrupted or unavailable, then the Pathology and non-GYN Cytology services will be performed by the contractor. LVAMC will maintain custody of pathology tissue and perform gross examination prior to contracted services. Occasional professional consultation may be requested in cases such as confirmation of malignancy. Difficult cases involving complicated material may be referred for review. Technical requirements: The lab testing facility must have the necessary licenses, permits and certifications for operating the lab testing facility and provide its own courier service.
