- Description
- Our office has received the following additional questions pertaining to this synopsis. Below are the questions and our answers: 1 - Can the Government share what the anticipated scope statement is for this certification? Explanation: We must assign auditors with the appropriate audit skills to meet the certification scope. Government Anwer: The scope statement is llisted on our current ISO 9001 certificate, it states: "The PIF has the mission of rapidly equipping the warfighter in support of current operations, prototype development, modifications and upgrades, sustainment, and bridging technology gaps of Department of Defense requirements. A joint venture acquisition with Yulista and SES allows support to the AMRDEC PIF industry expertise to render a true rapid response to their customers." This scope statement will not change. 2 - Has the Government taken into consideration the stage 1 audit which is a 1 day, 1 auditor visit to review documentation? - Section 3.8 - Travel to Huntsville, AL. "The Government anticipates one (1) trip for two (2) persons for five (5) days" for the base year. It does not appear to take into consideration any separation between stage 1 and stage 2 audits. Every initial audit requires a stage 1 and stage 2 audit which are typically scheduled 30 days apart from each other. - A stage 1 visit is primarily an audit readiness check which is reviewing the documentation of the Quality Management System. Government answer: Yes, the Government is aware that there will be two audits, stage 1 and stage 2, travel and audit days were combined in the SOW for simplificity. For completeness the offeror can propose 2 trips, the first one for 1 day for 1 auditor, and the second for 4 days for 2 auditors (or whatever they think is appropriate and warranted). 3. I do not see a solicitation just statement of work for RFQ# W31P4Q-16-P-0003. Government Answer: This is a combined synopsis solicitation. The synopsis serves as the solicitation and the SOW is attached for further information. 4. Can you assist me in how you want the numbers shown and in what format? Government answer: The Government will not delineate a particular format for the offeror's quotes as long as the basic and two options are priced separately. The due date for quotes has been extended from 06 November 2015 NLT 1200 CST to 13 November 2015 NLT 1200 PM CST. Please submit quotes by email to both of the POCs listed on this synopsis. All other terms remain unchanged.
