- Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is a Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), national security laboratory managed and operated by Lawrence Livermore National Security. LLNL is seeking interested parties for a lease agreement of the High Performance Computing Innovation Center; a facility to be located on the U.S. DOE/NNSA property at LLNL in Livermore, California within the Livermore Valley Open Campus (LVOC). The selected party will enter into a long-term ground lease of federal property with DOE and a facility lease agreement with LLNL. LLNL intends to be the initial primary occupant. The location of the leased land is adjacent to Greenville Road on the U.S. DOE/NNSA property at LLNL within the LVOC, fifteen (15) minutes from the I-580/I-680 interchange. LVOC is modeled after research and development campuses found at several other U.S. DOE sites. Its major focus is on accelerating partnerships to facilitate technology transfer and collaborations with industry, think tanks, academia, and federal, state and local agencies in support of the Laboratory's long-term mission. General Scope: The interim High Performance Computing Innovation Center is currently located in a temporary trailer in the LVOC at LLNL and is looking to relocate in a larger facility to meet mission and program needs. LLNL is seeking a modern, environmentally friendly, energy efficient facility to house approximately 350-400 personnel with a cost effective design that fosters collaborations with industrial and academic partners. The objective is for a partner such as a non-profit, or other third-party, special purpose entity to provide and maintain the facility and execute a lease agreement. • Location within LVOC on the LLNL site • Approximately 100,000 gsf of space • Building design that facilitates collaborative research and innovation with industry and academic partners • Flexible work environment with a mix of hard-walled and open spaces • Offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, amenities, collaboration space and other support spaces • Communication equipment and network and data visualization capabilities • Opportunities for industry, academia and other strategic partners to co-locate • Flexible security access control system to accommodate changing levels of programmatic or administrative control of individual suites and areas Industry Forum: There will be an Industry Forum scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Livermore, CA. Interested parties are required to register by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Attendance is limited to four (4) persons per team.
