- Sole Source, Cost Plus-Fixed-Fee Contract Award, under Statutory Authority at for 10 USC 2304(c) (1), and regulatory authority at FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Requirements of the contract include, Engineering Services, Technical Data Package (TDP), Test Platform Integration and Technical Training required for developing Organic Depot standup repair capability of the AN/APX-118 Mode 4 and AN/APX-123/123A Mode 4/5 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponder Systems at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD). BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Incorporated (BAE Systems), is the original equipment manufacturer of the AN/APX-118 Mode 4 and AN/APX-123/123A Mode 4/5 IFF Transponder Systems. Due to the electronic complexities, proprietary data and design of the AN/APX-118 Mode 4 and AN/APX-123/123A Mode 4/5 IFF Transponder Systems, BAE Systems is the only contractor who can provide the requirements for Engineering Services, Technical Data and Technical Training required for developing Organic Depot standup repair capability of the AN/APX-118 Mode 4 and AN/APX-123/123A Mode 4/5 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponder System. Period of Performance is 36 months from date of award.
