- Description
- The NASA Headquarters Office of Education, in cooperation with the Agencys four Mission Directorates, nine Center education offices, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) education office, announces this competition to improve Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. NASA Education seeks to partner with organizations on a no-exchange-of-funds basis to leverage resources, reach wider and more diverse audiences, and achieve mutually beneficial objectives. The Announcement places a priority on partnerships involving: Digital Learning; Engaging Underrepresented Groups in STEM; NASA-Themed STEM Challenges; and Youth Serving Organizations;. NASA is also receptive to other creative ideas that could include, for example, investigations or application of science, technology, engineering, arts, math and design (STEAMD); or activities culturally-relevant to or focused on unrepresented in STEM careers populations, such as women, ethnic minorities, and persons with disabilities. NASA may negotiate nonreimbursable Space Act Agreements (SAA) with one or more Respondents in accordance with the Space Act Agreements Guide. A nonreimbursable SAA involves NASA and its partner in a mutually beneficial activity that furthers NASAs mission as well as the mission of the partner organization. For a detailed explanation of SAAs, please review the NASA Space Act Agreements Guide: http://nodis3.gsfc.na sa.gov/NPD_attachments/NAII_1050_1C.pdf. SAAs are not grants, cooperative agreements, or contracts. The Announcement is currently open. NASA will accept responses on a rolling basis through December 31. 2017. The full announcement is accessible here: http://go.nasa.gov/1RZwWCi If you have difficulty accessing the full announcement electronically or submitting a response, please contact: NASA NSPIRES Help Desk at nspires-help@nasaprs.com or call 202- 479-9376 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.
