Description

Sole Source Justification THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Services (ARS), Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC), Human Nutrition and Research Center (HNRC) located in Beltsville, MD intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order with a base period and two consecutive option years on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 under simplified acquisition procedures to Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC for the following; Preventative and routine maintenance services for a deionized water system. The proposed award is being issued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (b)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310- Commercial and industrial machinery and equipment. The small business size standard is $7.5 million. The government will consider all responsible sources received by the due date. Written responses must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. If no written responses are received, a purchase order will be issued without further notice.
