Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to negotiate and award a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-15-G-5333 for MK 110 MOD 0 Gun Weapon System (GWS) spares on a sole source basis to BAE Land & Armaments without providing for full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). BAE Land & Armaments is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MK 110 MOD 0 GWS and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on an affordable and timely basis. The period of performance shall be 27 months after receipt of the order. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact BAE directly. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). THIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS PURELY VOLUNTARY.
