Description

The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center (FLC), Norfolk intends to negotiate a Sole-Source Firm Fixed-Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items with Olympus America, Inc., 3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034-0610. The proposed requirement is to acquire maintenance services for the Olympus flexible scopes and video processors for the Olympus Endoscopy System located at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune (NHCL) Main Operating Room (MOR). This is a Sole Source Action since the requested services must be performed by Olympus America, Inc. qualified technicians. The period of performance for this requirement will consist of one (1) 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods. FAR 52.217-8 “ Option to Extend will be included in the solicitation and the resulting contract. The anticipated date of the award is on or about 30 November 2015. The anticipated start date of performance is 13 December 2015. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 19 November 2015, by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov.
