- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Plant Protection Quarantine (PPQ) CPHST in Edinburg, TX intends to negotiate a sole source award to Getinge USA, Inc. of Rochester, NY for Preventative maintenance for 4 autoclave sterilizers The USDA, Animal Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition per statutory authority is 41 U.S.C. 253( c )(1) FAR 6.302-1 to Getinge USA, Inc. for Preventative maintenance for 4 autoclave sterilizers. The property or services needed are available from only one responsible qualified source at this time and no other type of property or services will satisfy these needs. Perform regular and routine scheduled preventative maintenance on 4 autoclaves located within USDA APHIS PPQ CPHST Mission Laboratories, on a quarterly basis. -inspect all screens, filters, door seals and gaskets and replace as needed to prevent leakages, loss of service, and overall safely operation of the sterilizer system. -inspect all valves and valve kits and replace as needed to prevent leakages, loss of service, and overall safety in operating the sterilizer system. -inspect and replace as needed all piping, unions, fittings, etc. to maintain seals and prevent leakages. -The Services to the equipment will be performed Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., local time, excluding federal holidays ("Normal Working Hours"). -Service should include periodic chamber cleaning as called for by the manufacturer, with chemicals used in the service provided by the service contractor. -Regular preventative maintenance parts will be identified, and ordered by the government end user. -The service contract covers labor and travel charges for routine maintenance as well as six unscheduled maintenance visits to troubleshoot and maintain operations of the sterilizer units. -The service contract will cover the time period of October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016 This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Request for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement, no later than 4:00 P.M. CT on December 05, 2015, by email to Jeanine.j.goral@usda.gov. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award. Responses received after the response date or without the required information will be deemed nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered.
