Description
Regional Health Contracting Office –Atlantic (Provisional), Fort Bragg Health Contracting Cell, Fort Bragg, North Carolina is hereby soliciting information (W91YTZ-16-R-0004) about potential sources in providing a Creative Art Therapist for Womack Army Medical Center. The external agency will be required to provide one (1 FTE) Creative Art Therapist for the base period and four one year option periods. Multiple contracts will not be awarded for this requirement. This request for potential sources only and is for market research only. Business Size Status Social Economic Group Status, for example – SDVOSB, Veteran Owned DUNS and Cage Code The NAICS code for this requirement is 621340 “Art Therapist Offices” Partial list of specific tasks: -Provide in and outpatient evaluation and treatment, community referrals and consultations. -Provide assessment, participates in the treatment planning & implementation, evaluation, psychotherapy, and art therapy primarily for the Residential Substance Abuse Program inpatients as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team composed of addictionist, psychologist, therapist, social workers, nurses, activity therapist and psychiatric technicians. -Conduct individual, group, and / or family expressive art based psychotherapy sessions for inpatient and outpatient clients, and foster positive therapeutic relationships with individual and group participants. -Provide psychosocial assessments to assist the interdisciplinary treatment in developing individualized treatment plans and diagnostic clarification. -Facilitate sessions, using art and other expressive mechanisms as a vehicle for psychotherapy, to foster communication, problem solved, enhance self-esteem assist in goal setting, provide a venue for the safe expressions of emotions, and develop alternative resources to cope with overwhelming life circumstances. -Conduct clinical assessments of all clients referred for treatment. -Diagnoses will be based on criteria established in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental -Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association-IV TR. Foster a supportive climate to facilitate self-expression and group interactions. -Provider an outlet for suppressed feelings to channel energy and emotional stress into constructive modes of expression and communication. -Independently assess patients, assisting the treatment team in determining an optimal multi-disciplinary treatment plan for the individual and for the therapeutic milieu. -Utilize art and other creative / expressive clinical modalities (e.g., music, petry, drama, horticulture) to support treatment goals and improve patient outcomes. Document patient assessments and interventions in patient records (Essentris, AHLTA and other systems) in accordance with Medical Center bylaws, instructions, and regulations. Ensure confidentiality of patient records and other sensitive information pertaining to treatment in accordance with Privacy Act 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA requirements. -Maintain supplies to conduct art therapy and other expressive and creative therapeutic treatment modalities. -Demonstrate professional knowledge of a broad range of expressive art and principles and practices. -Develops metrics for healing effects of art making and art exposure. -Participates in interdisciplinary wellness evaluation of NICoE Warriors and families. Provide assessment, planning, and if needed, recommendations for format art therapy, for Soldiers and families with TBI/PH/Pain -Maintains the NICoE art therapy spaces, equipment, and supplies, and submit requests for needed materials to the Wellness Program Director or other designated NICoE staff. -Analyzes and evaluates the NICoE art therapy program for adequacy, appropriateness, and completeness. Womack Army Medical Center is seeking capability statement from all interested parties for the purpose of determining the appropriate level of competition.
