Description
This is a DRAFT Performance Work Statement. SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Gap and I.D. Grinder(s) Solicitation Number: FA8224-16-R-0005 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation, but rather a Sources Sought to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1. The purpose of this sources sought is to conduct market research, and assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy. The Government has proposed the North American Classification Systems (NAICS) Code of 811219 which as a corresponding size standard of 20.5 Million or 333515 which has a corresponding Size Standard of 500 Employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. 2.0 The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice, if applicable, and identify business size with regards to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the potential teaming partners. 2. Program Details: 2.1. The following information is provided to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, ability and knowledge required to successfully provide the described capability as called out in the draft Performance Work Statements (PWS). This requirement is for the retrofit/rebuild of three (3) Cincinnati Milacron Grinder(s), Model 476, Serial No. 48668, 48669, and 48670. This requirement also includes the retrofit/rebuild of two (2) Butler Newall Gap Bed Grinder(s) Preventative Maintenance Number(s) 7690 and 7691. This effort is in support of the 309th Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG)/ 532 CMMXS Landing Gear Squadron located at Hill AFB, UT. The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information or the site visit. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah, intends to issue a formal RFP approximately March 2016 for the acquisition of services required for this effort. The Government requests interested parties to submit a brief statement of current capability to perform these services and a letter of interest addressing the questions below. Please provide us with your thoughts on these NAICS Codes and based on the Draft PWS suggest other NAICS Codes with your reasoning for those suggestions. •2. Does your company have the capability to perform both task (GAP and I.D Grinder) together? •a. Capabilities to perform these tasks include but are not limited to manpower and financial. Please provide evidence of these capabilities. All information or data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be protected as proprietary information.
