Description
Small Heated Press Requirements for FA9300-16-Q-5018 COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FA9300-16-Q-5018 AFTC/PZRA at Edwards AFB, CA is contemplating an award for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), The requirement is for a small heated press which will possess at minimum: a programmable controller with touch operator interface, closed loop controls of pressure and temperature, electrically heated platens capable of a maximum of 800 degrees Fahrenheit, platen cooling using water, platens that are 12 inches square, 6 inches of daylight between platens when open, be capable of applying a force of 1 ton, and be of a "four post" configuration. Please see attached Statement of Requirements (SOR) for full details. This purchase is subject to the availability of funds. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation for this requirement. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is FA9301-16-M-5018. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-83 and DFARs Change Notice (DPN) 20150826. (iv) The Federal Supply Code (FSC) code is 3620. NAICS is 333249 and the size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is full and open, no set-aside. (v) Contract Line Item Number(s) (CLINS) ITEM NO DESCRIPTION QUANTITY UNIT UNIT PRICE AMOUNT 0001 Small heated hydraulic press 1 EA _______ ________ The contractor shall deliver and install a small heated hydraulic press that meets or exceeds the requirements outlined in the attached Statement of Requirements (SOR). (vi) Description of Requirements: The work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to deliver and install a small heated hydraulic press to the following location: Air Force Research Laboratory ATTN: Gregory Yandek Propulsion Sciences and Advanced Technology Facility, B8451 10 East Saturn Blvd. Edwards AFB, CA 93524 Please see the attached SOR for more details on the description of the requirement. All deliveries will need to be coordinated with the Logistics Material Control Activity (LMCA). Please coordinate with the technical POC, Gregory Yandek, prior to shipment. (vii) The Government desires FOB Destination, Edwards AFB, CA for the delivery of the product(s) detailed in paragraph (v). (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. A product specifications sheet detailing your item shall be included with your quote. This information will be used to determine the technical acceptability of the product offered. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution.
