Description

This contract action is for Fire Pump Installation Kits in support of a Naval Vessel while berthed at SRF Sasebo, Japan. Sims Pump Valve Company is the only known source that has the drawings, specifications, and knowledge to manufacture the kits to meet the form, fit, and function of the existing shipboard motors. The procurement was awarded under award number N00406-16-P-0415 to Sims Pump Valve Company on 25 November 2015 on an urgent sole source basis under authority 41 U.S.C. 1901 - a sole source acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a).
