- Drawings <SRCSGT> <DATE>1201 <YEAR>2015 <CBAC>GPO371008 <PASSWORD> <ZIP>21005-1846 <CLASSCOD>59 <OFFADD>US Army, CECOM, Logistics and Engineering Operations Directorate, APG, MD 21005-1846 <SUBJECT>59-Sources Sought, for contractors with interest of furnishing Yanmar L48AE-DEG 2kW Engines used with MEP-501/531 2kW Tactical Quiet Generators for the Government. <SOLNBR>N/A <RESPDATE>122315 <CONTACT>Paul Peria, Product Realization Engineer, paul.peria.civ@mail.mil <DESC> The US Army CECOM, Power and Environmental Directorate is seeking sources from prospective contractors who may be interested in providing Yanmar L48AE-DEG 2kW Single-Cylinder Diesel Engines used on the 2kW Military Tactical Generator Sets. The engines will meet all design requirements of government drawing 95-8001. The NSN for this Engine is 2815-01-419-8704. This contractual effort is for a five year flexible long term contract with the quantity 1 ea. Minimum and 22 ea. Maximum for this NSN. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units is not available from the Army. Request that suppliers provide the Government with their Production Lead time and a cost estimate for these items. The response should also include production lead times, number of years engines will be available or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the engines. Prospective contractors are requested to submit proposals that (1) identifies the prospective contractor (business name, business size (large, small, 8a, etc.), point of contact including e-mail address and telephone number; and, (2) describes the prospective contractor's capabilities, showing that they are capable of furnishing these items. Any response to this announcement by a contractor in no way obligates or commits the government to pursue this matter any further.
