Description

This is a market survey for the procurement of MK 20A Synthesizer Circuit Card Assembly (CCA). The MK20A Synthesizer CCA is utilized in the MK 20A ILS (Instrument Landing System) located in the National Airways System (NAS). MK20A Synthesizer CCA was designed and solely produced by Thales DSI, Overland Park, KS. MK20A Synthesizer CCA is a proprietary item that is available on the commercial market. The FAA does not have specifications or drawings available for release. The intent of this announcement is to permit companies that may possess the technical capabilities to manufacture the MK20A Synthesizer CCA an opportunity to provide specific information as to their unique capabilities to provide this assembly. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior for further action by the FAA. Interested parties who possess the necessary capabilities should respond with their documentation in writing to the Contract Specialist. A completed FAA Business Declaration form (attached) and proof of registration in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) must be submitted with any response. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. This announcement shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. Responders to this announcement may be asked to provide additional details / information based on their initial submittal. The final determination by the FAA not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the FAA. All responses to this market survey MUST be directed to: bill.white@faa.gov no later than Tuesday, December 8, 2015, 5:00 pm (Central Time). RESPONSES RECEIVED AFTER THAT DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. TELEPHONE INQUIRES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. NOTICE for informational purposes for Minority, Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
