Description

N4215816RC60117 FLC Phila control No. 2016-0060. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Contracting Office intends to acquire contractor specialized maintenance services for two high speed, high precision milling and metal working machines. The services include the implementation of preventative evaluation, assessment, and maintenance described in the Performance Work Statement. The contract will consist of three periodic visits per year, each visit with a duration lasting four days plus travel time. The anticipated contract will comprise one base period of performance ending on 30 September 2016, plus four option periods for fiscal year 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with the Starrag USA of Hebron KY. Starrag USA is the original equipment manufacturer and the only known source certified to provide these services. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm fixed price contact will be awarded as a result of this request for quotations. This requirement in support of the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center Philadelphia PA is processed under FAR Part 13.501, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for certain commercial items. Commercial type clauses in FAR Part 12 will be included in the RFQ, and a shorter solicitation period will be implemented per FAR 5.203(c). Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with DOD and can be obtained at www.SAM.gov.
