Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in the event FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division intends to issue a solicitation for a competitive, single-award, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract to support The Weapons Control and Integration Department which has been tasked to provide technical and engineering support for asymmetric warfare projects. This requirement will establish an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) research, development, engineering, and technical support services vehicle. The Contractor shall provide research, development, technical, and test support in the performance of tactical and non-tactical systems associated with Homeland Security, Anti-Terrorism, Mission Assurance, Force Protection, Unmanned Systems, and other related Weapons Control and Integration Department Programs. This support will primarily support new development, prototyping, experimentation, formal testing and qualification of emergent capabilities. This requirement will be solicited in accordance with the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2330, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 16.504 (c)(1)(ii)(A)&(B) and Navy-Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMARS) 5216.504-90. The period of performance is anticipated to be for sixty (60) months. This notice is a synopsis and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it is not a commitment by the U.S. Navy to procure the subject services. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or around 22 December 2015. Contract award is anticipated on approximately 06 July 2016. Any questions regarding this synopsis should be addressed to Patricia Harper at patricia.harper@navy.mil.
