Description
Drawings/Sketches of each floor of the building The Mission Installation Contracting Command Center-Fort Knox is conducting market research for Construction services for Bldg 1467 for the Director Of Public Works. The market search is to determine the capabilities of all businesses (large and small) interested in the opportunity described below. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT COMMITTED TO AWARD A CONTRACT PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. It is a market research tool being used to determine procurement strategy. Appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of industry response to this sources sought announcement. The Government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 and the size standard is $36,500,000. The estimated construction price range for this requirement is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Building 1467 has 130,000 SF of usable space and is currently CAT Code 61050, ADMIN GEN PURP facility. This building will not be changing CAT Codes when the building is renovated. There will be minor modifications made to the exterior of the facility. The interior of the facility will be reconfigured through renovation and demolition to meet the purposed layout in the sketches above. All electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, fire detection, communications, ADA access will be brought into code compliance through the planned renovations and full replacement of the expired utilities. Force Protection will be modified as necessary and a secure space will be added in the basement of the facility. Types for work to be performed will be demolition, wall construction, plumbing, electrical, communications, window/doors, painting, finish work, asbestos-lead-mold remediation or removal and other items related to general construction. The parking lots associated with this facility will have minor renovations related to striping, signage, curbing and asphalt included in this construction contract. Water and sewer lines will be replaced to 15' outside of the building and cleaned out to the mainline from there. Expected contract completion period is 12 months from date of notice to proceed. Note Communication will be provided through the NEC contract but the Contractor will have to coordinate installation concurrently throughout this contract. As well Furniture installation will also be concurrent to reach the finish date of 1 June 2017. Your response shall be no more than 5 pages in length and include the following: 1.
