Description
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, engineering, design, materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and transportation, to perform all of the services described in the plans and specifications. DLA is proposing to construct a new headquarters facility adjacent to Building 36, which serves as DLA s current facility in Philadelphia, PA. The new site for P1501 is directly across from Buildings 2 and 3 on Foster Avenue. Upon completion of the new facility, DLA services will be relocated to the new building and the demolition of Buildings 36 will begin. Building 51, on the current site, will also be demolished. P1501 will consist of a four story, steel framed structure with insulated concrete form exterior walls, concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, gypsum board partitions, hollow metal frames and wood doors, bitumen roofing systems, fire protection system, HVAC systems and data and communication systems. The building will consist of two wings which include open office spaces, private offices and conference rooms. Separating the wings is a central core which includes elevators, stairs, restrooms, (2) conference rooms, support utility spaces and a multi-purpose space called The Oasis . Construction will include Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection requirements, security lighting, paved privately owned vehicle and military owned vehicle parking. Separate Bid Options consist of a Geothermal Well System and Vegetated Roof System. Sustainable design will be integrated into the design, development, and construction of the project in accordance with Executive Order 13123 and other directives. This facility will be designed to achieve a minimum of LEED Version 3.0 Silver Certification level. The construction and set backs will comply with all applicable UFC 4-010-01 Anti- Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) guidance for a primary gathering facility. The project includes infrastructure for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE), Audio Visual and Security Systems. FFE and AV equipment will be provided as Planned Modifications which will be awarded under separate contract funding.
