Notice Type:Posted Date: Combined Synopsis/SolicitationDecember 8, 2015 Original Set Aside:Response Date: Open Market-Small BusinessDecember 11, 2015 @ 5:00 p.m. Classification Code:NAICS Code: 7125 - Furniture Cabinets337110 - Wood Kitchen Countertops Synopsis: The VA Office of Engineering within the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center located in Columbia South Carolina intends to negotiate a firm fixed priced contract for services to provide fabrication and installation of laminated wall cabinets for two rooms during a two phase project for the Women's Clinical Offices. Phase 1 - Room BD129 Manufacture and installation of approximately 35 lineal feet of laminated wall cabinets with a sloped hood, visible exterior surfaces Wilson Art 1831-35 "Raven Gemstone" or equivalent in color and form. Cabinet interior is white Melamine or equivalent. Concealed hinges will be used. Continuous sloped hood to match exterior. A sketch with notes has been included in the package. "The room must be completed before phase 2 can begin. Phase 2 - Room BD122 Manufacture and installation of approximately 35 lineal feet of laminated wall cabinets with a sloped hood, visible exterior surfaces Wilson Art 1831-35 "Raven Gemstone" or equivalent in color and form. Cabinet interior is white Melamine or equivalent. Concealed hinges will be used. Continuous sloped hood to match exterior. A sketch with notes has been included in the package. a.Vendor will follow all OSHA requirements during installation. b.Vendor will clean up daily before leaving the worksite. c.Smoking is not permitted in the building or near entrances. d.On-site fabrication must be minimal. e.On-Site work will be accomplished after normal business hours. Due to patient load, this time may vary. f.Vendor arranges a work schedule with the VA Engineering Service so appropriate notifications can be made with a minimum of two working days in advance of arrival. g.Tools and equipment will not be left un-attended or left overnight. h.Phase 1 must be completed by cabinet vendor and countertop vendor before proceeding to Phase 2. VA Engineering Service will approve Phase 1 so that Phase 2 may be authorized to begin. i.Vendor will maintain the barricaded construction area. (Closed door) j.Area will be left in "as good or better" condition than found. k.Scraps, packaging and shipping materials will be disposed of off-site by the vendor. No means of disposal or recycling is provided by VA. Installation will be to a 5/8" thick sheetrock wall supported by steel studs. A separate vendor will be installing all countertops upon completion of installation of cabinetry; Contractor awarded this contract must be willing to work with adjustable timeframes in coordination of the countertops and VA personnel. Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a bid to the contracting office no later than December 11, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
