- This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Anniston Army Depot has a requirement for on-site preventive maintenance and emergency repair services for one (1) each Government owned Kolene Molten Salt Bath Cleaning System at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama. The contractor shall perform quarterly preventive maintenance services (4 times per year) on the Molten Salt Bath Cleaning System. All work shall be performed in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) procedures, guidelines, and schedules for quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance service requirements. The contractor shall perform all tasks to properly maintain and service the Molten Salt Bath Cleaning System to keep it functioning properly and provide the maximum performance and service life for the equipment. Each scheduled preventive maintenance service shall include but not be limited to the following: Complete salt cleaning system inspection with necessary adjustments and minor repairs for optimum equipment performance and safety evaluation. Handling system evaluation, adjustment, and minor repairs. Pollution abatement system evaluation, adjustment, and minor repairs. Provide a detailed written report of the preventive maintenance inspection and recommendations for operation. Salt bath and KGC Brightener samples shall be taken for analysis and a report of the salt condition and KGC bath chemistry condition shall be provided to the COR as part of the preventive maintenance inspection report. System GUI and controller programming updates and modifications as necessary. The contractor shall perform on-site emergency repairs for the Molten Salt Bath Cleaning System on a high priority basis during and outside the PPM (Ref. Para 3). The contractor shall acknowledge the Government's request for on-site emergency repairs or other on-site technical support from the Contracting Officer or COR within twenty four (24) hours after notification. Contractor personnel shall arrive at Anniston Army Depot, Alabama within forty-eight (48) hours after notification that onsite emergency repair services are needed unless otherwise coordinated with the COR. All associated costs including labor, travel, lodging, equipment, repair parts, etc. must be invoiced to the Government and shall be consistent with the government Joint Travel Regulations. Only new OEM repair parts shall be used to repair the Molten Salt Bath Cleaning System. All replaced parts or components shall remain the property of the Government. The contractor shall have the expertise to respond in a timely basis to diagnose malfunctions and complete all repairs to return the Molten Salt Bath Cleaning System to 100% production capable readiness. There shall be no charge to the Government for the same repair performed within 90 calendar days after the original repair is made. The Anniston Army Depot is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, and small business concerns. Small business concerns are defined under the associated North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this effort, 325998 All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing; Size Standard is 500 Employees. Responses must be received no later than 22 December 2015 at 4:00 P.M. CST. Interested vendors are requested to submit a statement of the capabilities of their organization with respect to the government’s Request for Information. Responses should include: 1. Prospective firm's name, address, phone number, socioeconomic status and DUNS number 2. General information of firm's previous experience on at least two projects of a similar scope, complexity and value; including the title, location, brief description of work, and dollar value Responses should be "short and to-the-point." This Request For Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation or to award a contract related to this project. NO FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS RFI IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. This RFI will expire on 22 December 2015 at 4:00 P.M. CST.
