- This is a SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes or proposals and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command (MSC) - Norfolk will be issuing a solicitation on or about 9 December 2015 for Man Diesel-SEMT Pielstick Port and STBD Main Engine parts to support a 24K hour overhaul and repair to the main propulsion diesel engines (MPDEs) installed aboard the USNS WALTER S. DIEHL (T-AO 193). The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be available on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) website under Solicitation Number N32205-16-T-4013. The requirement will be solicited on a limited source/brand name basis. This requirement is not reserved as a socio-economic set-aside, and is therefore being solicited as unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quote in response to the RFQ which shall be considered by the agency. The estimated date of the solicitation is on or about 31 December 2015. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and can be found on FEDBIZOPS ( http://www.fbo.gov/ ) under solicitation number N32205-16-T-4013. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 333618 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This procurement will be solicited as unrestricted. The appropriate NAICS code is 336611. Again, THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. There are NO RESPONSES due based on this pre-solicitation notice.
