Intend to Award Sole Source to: Alere Informatics, Inc. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: Alere Informatics, Inc. 2000 Holiday Drive STE 500 Charlottesville, VA 22901-1622 The objective of this sole source award is to renew an annual Alere Informatics, Inc. RALS-Web3 Software License with the manufacturer. Sole source is based on only one responsible source as Alere Informatics, Inc. is the manufacturer of RALS-Web3 Software. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 511210; the small business size standard is $38.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 12:00PM EST on December 16, 2015 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Michael Tempero, Contract Specialist at Michael.Tempero@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, "Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center", "Intent to Sole Source to Alere Informatics, Inc.". A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
