Description
This notice is not a solicitation. This announcement serves as a sources sought notice for football jerseys for the Air Force Academy. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to determine if there are football jerseys that meet the Buy American Act at DFARS 225.225-7001. All businesses capable of providing football jerseys are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. 10 CONS/ LGCB is seeking potential sources who can manufacture Football jerseys that are Buy American compliant IAW DFARS 252.225-7001 and are equal in quality and function to Nike products. Football Jerseys are considered commercially off-the-shelf items. Line item 0001 Nike "Get Loose" Style Number 615735 or equal, Pewter Grey Tops, lightweight stretch twill, anthracite embroidery, sizes M to XXL Line item 0002 Nike "Get Loose" Style Number 648963 or equal, Pewter Grey Bottoms, sizes small - XXL The applicable NAICS Code is 315990. The size standard is 500 employees. All items and components must be made and manufactured in accordance with DFARS 252-225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program. Only responsible suppliers need respond who can provide "or equal" Buy American compliant football jerseys. Please provide documentation where the football jerseys are manufactured and where the components come from. NOTE: ** No telephone responses, please** This sources sought is for planning purposes only and does not commit the government to pay for the information requested. If you are not interested in supplying this item, no response is necessary. Vendors must provide documentation where their football jerseys are manufactured and where the components come from. 5352.201-9101 OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions). (d) The ombudsman has no authority to render a decision that binds the agency.
