- Draft Statement of Work THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY AND YOUR RESPONSE IS NOT AN OFFER. THIS RFI DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY ANY COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION OF ANY SUBMISSION TO THIS RFI, OR TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES. This Request for Information is for the operation, maintenance and safeguarding of shipboard communication, Local Area Network (LAN) and associated Information Technology (IT) systems aboard Military Sealift Command vessels. Services shall be available 24- hours per day regardless of vessel location and status, unless otherwise directed by the Master, Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Equipment maintained under this contract shall be capable of performing the required functions 24-hours per day, each day of a given year. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is requesting assistance from commercial industry in regards to the operation, maintenance and safeguarding of shipboard communications suite aboard Military Sealift Command (MSC) prepositioning ships. The purpose of this notice is to provide a Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for industry review for an upcoming contract solicitation, N32205-16-R-3001. MSC encourages industry comment and suggestions regarding the PWS that could result more efficient performance or cost savings to the Government. MSC also requests interested parties submit any questions regarding the requirement to the POCs listed. Specifics are as follows: 1. PLACE: Worldwide 2. MISSION: Operation and Maintenance of Shipboard Communications suite 3. CONTRACT STYLE: Firm Fixed Price 4. PERIOD/COMMENCEMENT: 1-year firm; four (4) 1-year options 5. STATEMENT OF WORK: Attached to this Notice 6. Interested parties responding to the Request for Information shall provide the following information: COMPANY INFORMATION: a) Name of company b) Telephone Number, Fax Number, Address, and e-mail address (if available) c) Brief summary of company history relative to similar requirements d) Comments or Questions Note that no response will be provided to questions/comments submitted in response to the Draft PWS. All questions will be reviewed by the Government to assist in identifying revisions to be incorporated in the PWS. All information will be kept confidential and will not be disseminated to the public. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. It is requested that the above information be provided no later than 31 December 2015, 1600 Norfolk, VA Time.
