- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA, intends to extend the period of performance and increase the contract ceiling of Contract N68936-11-C-0012 with Saalex Solutions, Inc., Camarillo, CA, on a sole source basis. The BRIDGE extension and increase are necessary in order to continue services and avoid work stoppages until this requirement can be transitioned into the J-TECH II contract, currently being competed, and planned to be awarded in October 2016. The extension will be 6 months, from 1 May 2016 to 31 October 2016, with four 3-month options that will not be exercised unless there are delays in contract award. The contract ceiling increase will be $41.7 million. Interested parties must follow Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) procedures when requesting documentation relating to this contract. Procedures for requests are available on NAWCWD Office of Counsel Website http://www.navair.navy.mil/nawcwd/counsel/. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Contractors under the 8(a) Program who believe that they can step in and take over this program at the start of performance, 1 May 2016, shall reference contract number N68936-11-C-0012 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm's experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule. Level of classification required: SECRET. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement/proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. The anticipated award date of this modification is 1 May 2016.
