Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement to determine interest, availability and capability of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Small Business concerns. The NAICS code for the work is 236220. Work under this contract is expected to begin in October 2016 and extend over a 12 month period. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Project is located in Natick, Massachusetts at the US Army Soldier Systems Center (NSSC). The project will require a Design-Build (D-B) Contractor to design and execute necessary improvements to portions of the first floor of Building 45 to accommodate existing and proposed occupants and their associated furniture and equipment. The work will involve, but is not limited to, the following: • Renovate approximately 8,100 SF of office space. • Move/store/dispose selected furniture and office equipment prior to demolition. Return moved/stored furniture and office equipment back after spaces are renovated. • Demolish and dispose of existing non-load-bearing walls and partitions, suspended ceilings, floor treatment, window treatment, doors and other associated features; demolish and dispose of the existing HVAC system components, and electrical and lighting components primarily dedicated to supporting the spaces to be renovated; mitigate all asbestos containing material (ACM) encountered in the course of the work per applicable locate, state, and federal regulations. • Construct new office and support spaces configured to the needs of the users in the affected areas; includes new stud walls, insulation, ceilings, floor treatment, window treatment, doors, and associated features; includes new HVAC systems, and new electrical, lighting, and telecommunications components. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification (i.e. HUBZone, etc.) as well as qualifications of the team and experience in performing the work requirements stated above and two specific examples of the firm's experience in leading and executing Design-Build interior renovation projects. The projects must have been performed within the last five years and shall include: 1) project names and locations; 2) initial and final costs of each project; 3) firms used in the design-build partnership and percentage performed by each; 4) points of contact (name, address, telephone, job title, etc.) for the partner firms and customers; 5) dates of projects. Also, indicate the team subcontractors that will be used to support the offeror's effort on the project requirements mentioned above. Proof of bonding capability is required. Responses are due January 11, 2016.. Responses should be emailed to ATTN: Elizabeth.k.glasgow@usace.army.mil. Responses are limited to twenty pages. Interested firms shall provide the above documentation in one original form and one copy. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
