- This is a DESIGN-BID-BUILD project. This Source Sought notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. Restore Biomedical Laboratory, Building 67: Renovate the existing Biomedical Research Laboratory to include demolition, repair, and/or replacement of architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing features. Work will include site utilities, stand-by power repairs, electrical distribution renovation, testing and commissioning of Biosafety Level (BSL) 2 and 3 spaces, a modular BSL-2/3 laboratory (swing space), and all necessary work to produce a complete and usable facility. The work will also include necessary infrastructure and renovations to Building 71 in order to establish the campus data center, which will be displaced by the B67 renovations. Capability Statement/Information Sought: Page Limitations: Interested qualified organizations should submit a capability statement, not to exceed 10 total single-spaced pages using a 12-point font size at a minimum, that clearly details the ability to perform and that addresses the specific requirements described above. All proprietary information should be marked as such. Responses will be reviewed only by US Army Corps of Engineers personnel and will be held in a confidential manner. Delivery Point and Common Cut-Off Date and Time: All capability statements sent in response to this Sources Sought notice must be submitted electronically (via email) to Kenneth Baker, Contract Specialist at kenneth.g.baker@usace.army.mil in MS Word or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) no later than 31 December, 2015 3:00PM EST. The subject line must specify 'NAMRU-3 BLDG 67 CAPABILITY STATEMENT'. Facsimile responses will not be accepted. All responses must be received by the specified due date and time in order to be considered. ANY RESPONSES RECEIVED AFTER THAT DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
