- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced commercial item contract to Dish Network, 9601 South Meridian Blvd, Englewood, CO 80112 for satellite and television programming services for the Robley Rex VA Medical Center Louisville located at 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40206. The requirement will be sole sourced to Dish Network because this vendor has the only product available with the software and frequencies necessary to operate with the Smartbox Technology for the VA Medical Center's front end TV broadcast system. There is no other satellite programming that is compatible. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 515210 and has a size standard of $38.5M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 10:00am. CST, December 24, 2015 to: Lashanda.Harrington@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
